T-Ball is the introductory program for Baseball. Aimed at our youngest players from 4 – 7 years of age, T-Ball is a fun and safe way to get your child into sport, teach them hand-eye coordination, hitting and throwing skills as well as teamwork.
T-Ball involves hitting a stationary ball from a batting tee. Teams are made up of between 6 and 8 players. Rules may vary from time to time to create different opportunities for learning and enjoyment. The emphasis is on having fun and it’s a great way to spend quality time with the whole family!
All new players signing up for T-Ball at All Stars this season will receive a free Baseball pack containing a glove and other great stuff!

Rookie Ball is for children aged 8 and 9. In Rookie Ball, the coach of the team pitches to their teams’ batters or a machine called a Zooka machine is used to pitch the ball for the batters. If a batter cannot hit the moving pitch, they are allowed to hit off a batting tee as in T-Ball. Rookie Ball is the step between T-Ball and Little League Baseball. The purpose of Rookie Ball is to continue to teach children the fundamentals of the game in a safe environment while exposing them to the more complex skills of hitting a moving ball.

Little League is the next step in the development pathway. It closely resembles a full game of Baseball but does have some small rule modifications. It is the first age group in which players are eligible to gain representative selection. Little League is split into three divisions. Division 1 is for players who are able to compete at a more advanced level. Teams play across the entire Brisbane region. A standard baseball is used and the game is played without additional modifications.
Division 2 provides a level of play for developing players who would benefit from additional time learning the game. A safety ball is still used for the first half of the season to allow players to continue to develop their skills and coach pitch is still used if pitchers are not able to throw accurately enough to encourage more opportunities for batters to hit the ball. There are some rule modifications to ensure maximum participation and opportunities for all. Division 3 is for players who have just begun their Baseball journey. There are further rule modifications where required to encourage as many opportunities for players to continue to learn and enjoy the game safely. Both Division 2 and Division 3 is played between games on the northside of Brisbane.
